Jane was born on July 17, 1936 in Dodge City, Kansas to S. Paul and Irene M. Warner. She attended The University of Kansas and Kansas State University. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, PEO Sisterhood and was an active member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Jane was incredibly accomplished at quilting and often made complex and beautiful quilts for friends and family to adorn their homes with. She was a sweet and passionate individual who loved reading, attending PEO, and playing card games, bridge, and bingo with friends. Aside from these activities, Jane’s other hobbies consisted of traveling with her husband (Hawaii was their favorite) and spending as much time with family and friends as possible. Jane gave communion to the sick and elderly who were unable to attend church and spent countless hours serving meals to the homeless. Her family remembers Jane as always being an immensely generous and an incredibly spiritual woman who always encouraged them to pursue their goals and supported them in whatever way that she could.
Jane is survived by her husband, Charles Ross Schraeder; her children, Laurie (Timothy), Michael (Suzy), Timothy (Lori Anne), and her step children, Danna (Blain), Jeffrey, and Darren (Tina); her sisters, Sue Stone and Sally Gresham. She was a loving grandmother to 16, a great grandmother to 9 and a great-great grandmother to 1. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald, and their daughter, Lisa.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Tina Schraeder, a true blessing, for the loving care she gave to Jane.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm December 30th at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Aubrey, Texas; with a reception to follow in the church Fellowship Hall. Pastor Don Kirsch will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jane's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The American Diabetes Association in memory of Jane.
