Former State Representative, Bill Blanton, of Carrollton, passed away on Friday April 4, 2014 with the love of his life by his side. Bill and his family operated Blanton Grain Company, and he cared deeply for the farms and agriculture of the area. He and his sweetheart, Clovis, operated several Schlotzsky’s sandwich shops later and enjoyed that greatly as well.
A proud Army Air Corps veteran, father of 4, grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 7, Bill also served his community on the Carrollton/Farmers Branch Independent School District Board. He loved Carrollton and its people and proudly served as their State Representative for 5 terms.
A celebration of his life will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
