William “Bill” was born in Purcell, Oklahoma to Emile and Nelda Boudreau on December 20, 1926. He was the youngest of 8 children, graduated from Purcell High School, and joined the US Army where he served as a Sergeant through two enlistments. He was married to Patricia Lea Anthony on February 5, 1951 in his childhood church, Our Lady of Victory, in Purcell, Oklahoma. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1983 after 31 years of service, where he earned the Maximum Suggestion Award winning a car of his choice and a cash bonus. Soon after retiring, he found a part-time “contract” job with the Sam Pack Ford Parts Department. This gave him more flexibility to decide when to work or when to take the day off and spend it at the lake fishing. He served the City of Farmers Branch on the Planning & Zoning Board, Parks & Recreation Board and also coached Little League baseball and Bomber football teams. At Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, the Saint Jude’s Holy Family Guild, the Wednesday Bible Study Group, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He enjoyed Senior WII Bowling and was a sports enthusiast, closely following the OU Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Rangers.
William is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 65 years, his three children; Kathi Proctor (Tim) of Richardson, Tom Boudreau (Dena) of Trophy Club, and Alan Boudreau (Geri) of Copper Canyon; his sister, Mary Matheson, 92, of Mesa Arizona; and 8 grandchildren, Andrea, Emilee, Austin, Daniel, Ricky, Hannah, McKenzie, and Jonathan.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask for donations to be made in William’s memory to the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church Choir, 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
