  We met Charlotte through her husband, the infamous Harvey Smith, who was well known on the Comstock. Charlotte worked at the Way It Was Museum in Virginia City for many, many years. Since we had produced a program about VC 26 years ago, she was our principal contact for sales of that product at the Museum. I always enjoyed seeing her there, and finding out what was happening in town. In more recent times, it was always a delight to visit with her
and her little dog, "Paris," who, once given a treat, never forgot that, and was always real attentive when I'd show up.
  Charlotte will be dearly missed by all of us on the Comstock. We were out of town and only just now found out, and were truly dumbfounded upon learning of her passing. She was always such a warm and lively person...
