Mary was the beloved only child of her mother Josephine and her step-father Lawerence. Her professional journey began at home, where Mary dedicated her early years to being a homemaker, a commitment she upheld with pride. Her journey later transitioned into secretarial duties, in order to help support her family, and she also served as an Auxiliary member at the Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe, a testament to her kind spirit.
Mary's life was characterized by love. This was first shown through her three marriages, first to Donald Wicklander, the father of her children, then to William Robert Dailey, who lovingly adopted her kids, and finally to Jack Jackson. She has been preceded in death by these three, as well as her cherished parents, Burton Swift and Josephine Price, along with her adoptive father Lawerence Lutz.
Mary's legacy of love continues on as she is survived by her children, Susan McLaughlin (Daniel), Patricia Cobel, and David Dailey. Her grandchildren Shawn (Jared), Shaylene (Kevin), Austin, Ariana, Brooklyn, and Carson; as well as a great-grandchild, Jack, with one more on the way.
Mary took much joy in her strong attention to detail and careful organization of every aspect of her life. But even more than this, especially in her later years, she loved nothing more than getting calls from her grandchildren, and spending time with her family every chance she could get.
Mary’s life was a testament to love, loyalty, and the joy of family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
