I just saw Dan's obit on August 23rd. I'm sad to learn of his passing,  Dan was the Chief of Midland ISD police department  in Midland Texas, and I was the dispatcher there. Dan was one of the nicest bosses I'd ever known, he was so thoughtful and generous and fair.  Even though he's no longer on earth, I will carry his memory with me.
