

Diane was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on November 10, 1934. She had been a Nevada resident since 1966. She lived near Washoe Lake, Glenbrook, and in Carson City twice. Diane was a life-long learner who was known for her strong work ethic. She earned an AA degree and took a series of post graduate courses.
Diane worked in Douglas County in banking, was the Town Manager of Gardnerville, and served on the town’s Board of Directors. She was the first female to serve as President of the Chamber of Commerce. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army. She served as the President and the Treasurer of the Sierra Nevada Classic Thunderbirds Car Club.
After she retired, she served as a part-time secretary for the Western Nevada Development District and transcribed the meetings of Nevada’s County Officials. Additionally, she was the manager of Heet Bldg. & Design, LLC.
Diane had an effervescent personality, and folks she worked with called her “a real pistol.” She enjoyed boating on Lake Tahoe with a 28-foot cruiser that she restored.
Diane left behind her loving husband of 13.5 years as well as two sons. Diane had an irreplaceable, adoring love in her marriage. She was a wonderful supporting wife, devout Christian and served multiple Baptist churches as the secretary and piano player for worship music.
A private memorial service will be on February 16th, 2024.
