Joan Lynn Beatie (Kable) passed away peacefully at her home on March 10th, 2025, surrounded by her family. Joan was born in Illinois to Forrest Kable and Bernice Bruner. She spent her adolescence and adulthood in San Gabriel, California, before moving to Carson City, Nevada. Joan was the wife to her late husband, George, and the mother to her four children. Joan was a talented seamstress who enjoyed making clothing and quilts for her loved ones. She donated many of her designs to those in need. She enjoyed visiting her cabin in Mammoth Lakes, CA and accompanying George on his fishing trips. She was an avid volunteer and a fierce political advocate. She supported local political organizations, law firms, and elder care facilities. Joan is preceded in death by her husband George Beatie, her son Richard Beatie, and her Son-in-Law Steve Jones. She is survived by her daughters Kim Jones, Robbi Kohler, and Son-in-Law David Kohler, and Juli Costanzo, her six grandchildren and her six great grandchildren.
