Jordan Krisdan Bratcher

March 7, 2003May 7, 2019

On Tuesday morning, May 7, 2019, Jordan Krisdan Bratcher passed away in her home at the far too young age of 16. Jordan was a bright, loving and caring daughter to Kris, Danielle and Jesse, an amazing big sister to her baby brother Jake and her sisters Peyton and Taylor, a devoted granddaughter to Kathie, Richard, Linda, Ervin, Edward, Diane and Rose.

She was also a dedicated student and friend to her teachers and classmates at Douglas High School, a proud member of the National Honor Society and a committed volunteer to the Douglas Dolphins Swim Team, the All About Dance team, the Key Club, the Carson Valley Lions Club and the JROTC program.

Jordan was passionate in her pursuit of understanding health and the human anatomy with the singular goal of being able to provide vital and lifesaving service to people. She was steadfast in her desire to serve her community as a healthcare professional, with high hopes of becoming a doctor who was capable of performing lifesaving surgeries. Her big heart and bright mind gave her all of the tools and instincts to be the best big sister in the world!

Jordan's attitude and zest often led her to help with any task that made things better for someone else and her wit and humor made her such a fun person to be around, while her thoughtful demeanor made her a reliable friend.

She will be greatly missed by all, especially her family and friends who loved her so very dearly.

I wasn’t Jordan’s best friend or anything but we rode the bus together for a short period. I remember being so angry at the freshman for being so loud and annoying and she just didn’t have a care in the world for that. On the bus she was in her own little bubble singing Disney songs and trying to spit on Caroline. She was so bright and loving and I will miss her dearly.

My heart dropped to the floor when I heard this unbelievable news. Doesn’t seem real, nor do I want to believe it. My memory of Jordan will always stay alive no matter how many years pass. Danielle, you are absolutely an incredible mother and woman, and I will always remember the times we all had together. I know you and your family can and will overcome this loss because you all are one of the strongest families out there. Our family loves and misses you all.

I've never met Jordan in person, but I feel like I know her from the pictures and stories that Danielle shared on her Instagram. I remember in one of the posts that I commented that Jordan seemed like a lovely and remarkable young lady and Jordan thanked me for my comments.
Danielle, I can't even imagine what you and your family are going through right now. I know that as a mom, I'm heartbroken for you. And I know there will always be a hole in your heart that can never be filled. I'm very sorry for the loss of this lovely and remarkable young lady. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
