My daughter introduced me to Kaylinn at the Dayton Library when they were about 13. She was all smiles. The two of them, soooo much alike, had on and off moments. GIRLS! In 2012 her Mom and I were brought together through employment where we worked side by side for four years. I may have been on the sidelines the majority of the time but I had the privilege of watching as her Mom and her entertwined through their journey. Kaylinn was blessed with a baby boy in 2013. And of course the ENTIRE family was blessed as well. You know, there is no perfection here on earth. But, the love that radiated out if the Boling-Foster family, always, was admirable. Kaylinn and I touched hearts through out the years. She knew I was always on her side. We all have come from such hard circumstances. Some were born into them. Some self created (me) and then there’s the mix of both. It’s kind of the new normal. When I think of Kaylinn I think of a Phoenix. Rising up out if the ashes. She was paying forward such incredible kindness. She found her spot. She was helping those who could not help themselves. She had blossomed into a wonderful Mother, partner, daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend. Her blue, blue eyes and sweet, sarcastic smile are forever imprinted on my heart. I’m struggling with why this happened. A blink of an eye and everything has changed. My very dear friend and her family and friends will ache for the rest of their lives. Kaylinn, I promise my sweet girl, to celebrate your family as long as I can, ok? I promise to lift them up as best I can. I’m sorry and so sad that you were called home so soon. I reckon God needed you for something REALLY big. I’ll love you forever. Your Auntie from another mother. Xoxoxo

This isn’t good bye. Even though I can’t physically see you I know you will be with me until we meet again. I’m so blessed to have had you in my life as long as I did. 11 years I got to watch you grow. Mature from a wild teen to a young mom to an amazing woman. I’ll forever cherish all of our memories. Our laughs, our tears, our adventures. I know you’re going to be busy so I’ll wait patiently for you to visit me. I love you forever, I promise Kaylinn. Fly High best friend, spread your wings.

One of my favorite memories of Kaylinn is when Jodi, Kaylinn, Kirsten, and Cody came down to visit me on Camp Pendleton when Sean was deployed. We went to the beach, Del Mar Fair, and went to Hollywood. While we were in Hollywood, Kaylinn was holding Devin's hand, as we were walking around, and she was uncontrollably laughing while Devin was saying "how ya doin" to all the ladies.

This girl always found her way into my life no matter where I turned. From high school years she would be in the group making everyone and myself laugh to every job as an adult. She was a hard worker who always put family first and once blessed with her son, he was her pride and joy and didn't go a conversation without including him. She was carrying to all even those who were a little rough around the edges and was always willing to help and give word of advice if asked. She talked me down from throwing in the towel hundreds of times and it breaks my heart not being able to just laugh with her and see her smiling face just one more time. I wish you and your family well and hope you enjoy the view of the sun rise up there girl!

“Never worry about numbers, help one persons at a time and always start with the person nearest you.” — Mother Theresa

What I would like to share about this very special young lady is she loved so much to help others. In my job I had the pleasure to watch her with helping the elderly and she helped with grace and passion. She really loved it. It takes a special soul to do this. An angel from heaven. I believe it was a gift she was given and blessed with to do what she could in this way to short of a life she was given. I believe that!!! One of our greatest tests in life is to be able to bless someone else while going through our own storm. I’m so proud to have had the opportunity to have met you Kaylinn. You are an angel and I know you are continuing to help someone in someway or somehow. That’s just you.

May God bless you and your family and hold you all very close.

Until we meet again!! 🐻🤗❤️

Kaylinn, I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this. I can’t believe your gone. You know as humans we tend to get wrapped up in our own lives. “We gotta hang out soon!” Turns into “I’m sorry dude I’ve been busy with kids and work you get it right?” You never think that you won’t get that chance to see a person again. I never thought I would never see you again. We had been I guess “long distance friends” for a while, we didn’t every really hang out much in our adult lives. Saw eachother here or there but no matter what we always gave hugs. We always laughed and talked for a few. I’m so proud of you for having come so far love. You had grown so much in the last few years I wish I was around more to see it. You will always be In my heart as a loving and caring friend. I’ll hold onto the memories I have of you, piercing my belly at school lol seeing you and your beautiful baby bump with Travis and when you came to my baby shower and felt Cj In my belly. All of it and everything in between. You were good mama who did everything she could for her son and I know that even though you are gone from us physically, you’ll always be right there with him. That what a mama does forever ❤️ I care very deeply for you and your family, you guys have been family friends for a while now and I promise that I’ll always keep in touch with them. I’ll always keep an eye out for your boy. I’ll keep praying for your family and all of your friends to heal. I miss you. My heart is breaking for your whole family. I know you wouldn’t want anyone to hurt, because that’s just the woman you were. I know you would want us all to celebrate you instead. I know that you are happy now and safe. Spread those angel wings and fly baby! I hope you see us all today. I hope you see how many people care about you and your family. You are such a loved woman Kaylinn. Until we meet again I send one last big hug and lots of love ❤️ RIP Beautiful

Biography

To Kaylinn Marie Boling, the entire world was a stage. An expressive, optimistic, and uninhibited individual, she was a performer in the theater of life. To everyone around her, she seemed to be eternally happy, and she willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched. For Kaylinn, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile, a witty remark or the twinkle of an eye. And with just those simple gestures, she could evoke the most pleasant of emotions. Kaylinn really mastered the art of living and had great fun in doing so.

Kaylinn was born on August 28, 1995 at Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe, California. Her parents were John & Jodi Boling, Jennifer Boling (Stepmom), Joel Smith (Stepdad). Her grandparents were Mike & Marie Foster and Sandra Buffington. Kaylinn was raised in South Lake Tahoe from 1995 - 2004, in Dayton from 2004 - 2013, and lived in Carson City from 2013 - 2019. Even as a child, Kaylinn had the ability to lift the spirits of all those around her. She was raised to be warm, caring and friendly. She couldn’t help but capture everyone’s attention. She was definitely a little bit of a show off, but in doing so, she succeeded in entertaining her entire family.

Always a good playmate, Kaylinn was easygoing and fun loving. She managed to lighten the mood wherever she was, even during family squabbles. She seemed to have a knack for bringing compromise and erasing tense situations around the house. Due to a generous dose of common sense, Kaylinn managed to find a satisfying solution to basic problems. Kaylinn was raised with 2 biological siblings and 7 step siblings. She had a sister Kirstyn, a brother Cody, step sisters Thalia, Alibi, Grace and Noel, and step brothers Skyler, Axel and Hunter.

All of Kaylinn's playful good humor carried over into her childhood. She was possessed with an outgoing personality, a lively imagination and a mellowed enthusiasm for life that allowed her to be constantly on the go. As a result, Kaylinn experienced a rather active childhood, and this suited her very well. She took part in cheerleading and cross country. In her spare time she liked spending time with friends and family. But Kaylinn's most memorable achievement was Travis.

Ask anyone who knew her from school and they would tell you that Kaylinn was a genuine and loving person. She simply enjoyed others’ laughter and the sounds of her friends and acquaintances having a good time. It could be said that for Kaylinn, grades may not have been the most important thing to her, but she really did enjoy her school experience. Since experience was Kaylinn's best teacher. She enjoyed hands-on learning and applying the “practical” approach to knowledge, rather than getting caught up in “theory. She enjoyed some courses more than others, having favorite classes and teachers. Her favorite class in high school was Photography.

Kaylinn never actually encountered a stranger in her dealings with people. She was drawn to individuals and crowds, using her gregarious, adaptable and outgoing personality to captivate her audience. This quality allowed Kaylinn to continually develop new relationships, ever widening her circle of friends. Kaylinn delighted in her role among all her acquaintances. Whether it was a story, a joke, a song or just plain fooling around, Kaylinn was always right at home putting on a show among her friends. Kaylinn utilized her interest in others as a great way to connect with them. While growing up, she had too many friends to list, many of them are still friends today. She was loved by all. Kaylinn loved sharing life and having her home filled with people she knew.

Perhaps the reason Kaylinn related so well to children was the fact that she never really completely grew up herself. The ability to be just a “kid at heart” helped her in raising her own child. Kaylinn was blessed with one child, a son, Travis John Kase Boling. Kaylinn had the ability to focus her attention on the present moment. If she was spending time with Travis, that’s where all of her attention was directed. Kaylinn's compassionate side prevented her from being a strict disciplinarian, and she could turn just about any situation into a playful, learning experience. She could spend hours entertaining Travis with fun and creative play. In fact, Kaylinn had a knack for turning some of those nasty old chores into games.

At work, as in life, Kaylinn was a real “people person.” She had a very successful way of dealing effectively with others, and her enthusiasm and energy was often contagious. When dealing with various projects and problems, Kaylinn was an adaptable realist, using her common sense and trusting her experiences and impulses to uncover the correct answer. Kaylinn's talent for being a down to earth thinker, allowed many around her to see Kaylinn as an excellent problem solver. Her primary occupation was a Caregiver. She was employed in that field for 3 years.

Kaylinn enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. An “arts and crafts” type, Kaylinn liked creating and making things. Her favorite pursuits were photography & hiking to the top of hills/mountains at sunrise and sunset. Kaylinn was content to enjoy her hobbies alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.

Living life in the fast lane suited Kaylinn just fine. It is no surprise that she loved to travel and to visit new and different places. She was naturally curious about new places and loved the real life adventure that came from visiting them. She was impulsive and willing to try anything once. Favorite vacations included Disneyland with her parents and Carmel with her grandparents.

Kaylinn was a lover of animals and cherished her pets, enjoying them almost as much as she enjoyed being around other people. Her favorite fur baby was her brother Cody's dog Bruiser. Kaylinn also loved Megan & Stormy, her cats, Belle & Luna, chihuahuas, Blue & Cotton, pitbulls. They were best friends over her lifetime.

Kaylinn brought joy to all of those around her. She never had a mean bone in her body. She loved to have a good time and was an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. She loved to share her energy, wit, and her zest for all of her activities with her friends and family. Kaylinn Marie Boling lived life to its fullest and made everyone around her happier just for knowing her. She will be remembered with a smile.
