Kelly Jean Elder, 62, passed away on April 16, 2026 in Carson City, Nevada. Born in California on November 6, 1963, her life led her to Nevada, where she raised five boys—Benjamin Hight, Sean Hight, Kevin Hight, Josh Elder, and Jared Elder.
Kelly found comfort and delight in puzzles, word searches, reading, and crocheting—pastimes that reflected her patient mind and attentive hands. She also enjoyed fantasy storytelling, mythical creatures, and the color purple, embracing imagination and a love for the comfort of her own home.
She is survived by four of her five sons, as well as three granddaughters, who will all miss her dearly and remember her fondly as a very stubborn woman.
