Always knew you as "Cas."  You were a great person to work with and taught me a lot about life.  I will never forget you and always looked up to you as 'father' figure who I lost so young.  You will be dearly missed and will always be in my and Gary's hearts. It was a honor to know you through the years.

Losing someone like Lou is always a shock and a shot to the gut.  I too first encountered Lou in 1972.  He was instrumental in starting my career off in a good and positive direction.  He saw tings as they were and was a very accepting person.  Rest in Peach Lou.  You made a huge difference in so many lives.

Lou was one of my first sergeants when I began my career in 1972.  He was a great source of information to a young deputy and a steadying influence.  His humor for all the things we endured/learned as "baby deputies" left a lasting influence.  Definitely one of the good ones.  All my best thoughts.

What a great loss of a nice man. Remember Lou as a security person at the old Bay Mart store  in San Leandro.  Have fond memories of him throught the years.  My deepest condolences to the family.

My sincere condolences to the Caspary family.  Lou always put his men first, always had our backs.  What a great pair to work for Sgt. Caspary and Lt. Donovan.  I have fond memories of a weekend camping trip/motorcycle ride in the Sierras Lou arranged during a tour at Superior Court.  Lots of camaraderie, lots of laughs, lot and lots of beer.  One of the best supervisors I worked for but more importantly a great human being.  RIP my friend.

What a special honor and privilege it was to know and work with you Lou.  You were my Gentle Giant and mentor, but most of all you were my friend.  Only wonderful spirits have had the pleasure of being in your presence. Lynda and I have missed being in your presence.

Lou..I remember when you and Ray Roach were the first two patrolmen assigned to that special unit called SD31 back in the late '60's. As a fellow patrolman back then, watching you in action gave me the answer as to why. You were not only a beacon of common sense out there for us, you were a great guy and a fine Law Enforcement Officer.

Mom used to call you Francis cause dad was named Lou also. I remember going to Harrahs once and asking security to page "Francis" Caspary for me.  The security team and people who knew you didn't know that was your name and it took two weeks to get them to forget and stop calling you that.

You had a long and fruitful life, god bless you and yours.

Papa, You don't know how sorry I am. You have No Pain now. You and I have Laughed and Cried together, there were so many good times. You have taught me so much  about the way I live my Life.
