Michael Leon Bowker

Michael was born July 9, 1960 in Furth, Germany. He graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 1986 with a Masters in Computer Science. After graduation, Michael moved to Silicon Valley, California where he worked as a software engineer for several high-technology companies, including Amdahl and Oracle.

He is survived by his father, Raymond Bowker; his brother, John Bowker and his wife Sherri; his nieces, Rae Bowker and Amanda Morales and her husband Cesar; his great-nephew Sebastian Morales, his great-niece Genevieve Morales; his uncles, Horst Pönn, Klaus Pönn, and Charles Bowker; his aunt Alice; his many cousins; and close family friends, Rob Payne and Ed Marrow.

He is predeceased by his mother, Waltraut (Erika) Bowker; his grandmother, Elsie Pönn; his grandfathers, Hermann Pönn & John Bowker; his uncles, Heiner Poenn and Nelson Bowker; his aunt Norma; and close family friend, Kate Payne.

Michael was an avid Science Fiction and Fantasy fan and owned an extensive library of books and collectibles. He enjoyed attending Science Fiction and Comic conventions, photography, and spending time with family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
