Mike was born in Inglewood CA and growing up in the locations of Santa Barbara and Anaheim Hills, he enjoyed the outdoor activities of surfing, biking and hiking. He also loved the time spent in motocross with his father.
He is survived by his wifey Monica, his parents Linda and Donald, his sister Debbie, brother-in-law Scott and three nephews Brandon, Justin and Cameron, his in-laws Gwen and Louie and brother-in-law Allan.
Mike was at his best helping people and this gave him the foundation for a successful career in sales. What he sold never mattered as he always applied the same methods - learn everything he could about it, supply the best product and provide the best customer service possible.
Mike was already family oriented and after meeting his wife Monica, he embarked upon a whole new level of dedication both at home and in his enjoyment of the outdoors. He transformed a house into a home for Monica and two rescued cats and loved the "ranch chores" that came with the home. He also took full advantage of the Reno area they lived in and practiced his biggest passions of skiing (which he developed in his youth with his father on many trips to Mammoth) and fly fishing. Mountain biking and hiking were close behind.
Mike passed away unexpectedly while riding his mountain bike up to his favorite fishing lake. His kindness and unconditional love will always be missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that a donation be made in Mike's memory, to The Nevada Humane Society.
Arrangements under the direction of FitzHenry’s Funeral Home, Carson City, NV.
