Polly Ann Lisnock

In Loving Memory and Forever in our Hearts:

Polly Ann Lisnock, 68, of Washoe Valley Nevada was tragically taken from us on June 13th, 2014.

She was such a thoughtful, compassionate, loving and caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, person and friend to everyone who knew or met her. Among her many hobbies, she was an avid reader and traveler who loved to sew and quilt. Her gentleness was reflected in the selfless way she lived her life every day and was expressed through her love for collecting teddy bears and decorating her home during the holidays, especially at Halloween and Christmastime.

She worked in the medical community of Northern Nevada, and the last 10 years at Sierra Surgery Hospital in Carson City. She will be missed by her many colleagues and friends there.

Polly was the daughter of Richard and Louise Nelson from Fullerton, CA. She graduated from Fullerton High School class of ’63.

She will be dearly missed by us and everyone who knew her, but never forgotten. Her love will remain for eternity in our hearts and her presence from above will help guide us all through this difficult time.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Lisnock; her children Jim, Andy, Mike and Debbie; her grandchildren Chase, Kevin, Kyle, Megan and William; and her brother and his wife, Torloff and Maggie Nelson, and their daughter Paige. She is also survived by Ronald and Marie Farrington and William and Constance Schwartz and her many nieces and nephews.

There will be a public Celebration of Life Service at FitzHenry’s Funeral Home, Carson City, NV on Friday, June 20th at 2pm.

I've known Polly Lisnock since I was a little kid. She is the mother of my step-family. She was a living Saint. As kind a woman as you will ever meet. She treated as if I were one of her very own children. She was an amazing person. A loving mother, wife, and a great friend. Rest in Peace Polly. Joe, and all my family members, I am so very sorry for your loss.

To Polly's Family,
Polly and I were friends in high school and shared many enjoyable times. It was so great to see her looking so well at the reunion last year. This senseless tragedy has been a shock to all of us who knew her and I can only imagine the tremendous pain you are all experiencing with losing your beloved Polly. My heart goes out to all of you.

I barely knew Polly in high school, but her radiant smile and kindness were one of the many very good things about FUHS. Many thanks to John Garcia for passing the information along to those of us who might not otherwise know.

Joe,
All loss is difficult, but the senseless loss of such a dear sweet soul is even more tragic. I remember Polly fondly as a teen and was so pleased to see her and many of our classmates at our reunion just this last July! Please accept my condolences and prayers for you and your entire family. Joe and family,
As you know, My friendship with Polly began early on in high school and extended into our adult life. I loved her dearly. She was the sweetest, kindest, most caring person. I have been thinking about the fun times we had as teenagers. Lots of cruising to Bob's Big Boy in Whittier in her little white Corvair, slumber parties at her house, among many others. There were very fond memories of the two of us trying to figure out how to care for a newborn when Michael was born. Anyway, please know that you have all been in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry.
Love,
Sally Miller
