

Randolph Anthony Bursey, 60, passed away on July 14, 2026, in Carson City, Nevada. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Randolph spent 36 years married to the love of his life, Melynda Bursey, building a life rooted in laughter and family.
Born in Madera, California, Randolph was the son of Eddie and Clovis Bursey and brother to the late Stephen Bursey. He graduated from Madera High School before beginning a long and dedicated career as a truck driver with Burdick Excavating, where he was known for his hard work, reliability, and good humor.
Randolph lived life with enthusiasm and joy. He loved camping, traveling, NASCAR races, and all sporting events, and he brought that same energy to every gathering. He will be remembered for his unwavering care for family and friends, his quick wit, and his ability to make any moment brighter. Randolph was the life of the party — always ready for a good time, always bringing warmth and laughter wherever he went.
He is survived by his wife, Melynda; his son, Michael Bursey; his daughter, Brittney Bursey; and his grandson, Jacob Rumsey. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Bursey. Randolph also leaves behind his loyal German Shepherd, Buddy, who never left his side.
A Visitation will be held at FitzHenry's Funeral Home, 3945 Fairview Drive, Carson City, NV 89701, on August 13, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A committal service will follow on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Lone Mountain Cemetery 1044 Beverly Dr, Carson City, NV 89706. After the interment, family and friends are invited to a repass at Burdick’s Shop, located at 5 Brown Dr., Mound House, NV, beginning at 2:00 p.m., to share food, memories, and stories of Randolph’s life.
