Shirley Louise Mosher, age 42, of Reno, NV passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 7:22pm. She is survived by her loving children, Juniper & Mars; Co-Parent, Tony Abreu; Mother, Deborah Alvarez; Sisters, Crystal Helton & Lila Mosher-Hernandez; Brother, William Helton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding Shirley in death was her dear father, Douglas Earl Mosher; and her Step-Father; Alberto Armando Alvarez.
On September 18, 1979 Shirley was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As part of a military family she grew up between Anchorage, Alaska; Lawton, Oklahoma; and Monterey, California. Shirley graduated high school at West Anchorage High School in Anchorage, Alaska. She loved nothing more than to enjoy her days with family and friends, and gave selflessly of her time and energy to strangers in need. She loved to cook, and would often prepare sandwiches and other meals to distribute to homeless residents of her local Reno/Sparks communities. Anyone that knew Shirley knew she had such a big heart. The single proudest moment of her life was when she became mother to Juniper and Mars.
Shirley loved deeply and fearlessly, and we take comfort in knowing that she's now at peace in the loving hands of our Father in Heaven.
Shirley's Celebration of Life will be held at Whitaker Park (550 University Terrace, Reno, NV 89503) on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
