Thomas Bernard Becker

Born on April 27,1953 in Walnut Creek, California, passed away on May 21, 2025, in Gardnerville, Nevada.

Preceded in death by his mother, Francis Irene (Ireland) Becker, his father George “Bernie” Bernard Becker, his brother William “Bob” Becker, and one infant niece.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Bernard Becker Jr., his daughter Jennifer Carroll Becker, his granddaughters Grace Martina Becker and Kinsley Paige Moore, his brother Jim Becker, his sister Anne (Becker) Shoemaker, and their two respective families.

Tom was an avid outdoorsman. His outdoor passions were skiing, fishing, hunting, golfing, and camping. He is best known for his artistry with woodworking and his craftsmanship building custom homes. He first moved from the Bay Area to Lake Tahoe to build condominiums in the 1970s and was a ski instructor at Heavenly during the winter months. Tom built homes in Kona, Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, CA, and Gardnerville-Minden, Nevada. Tom also had his pilot’s license and was very passionate about flying as a hobby.
