Wayne Benjamin Crandall

He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Helen Faye Crandall in 2011, his stepson, Stephen Aust in 2012 and his son Clark Crandall in 2020. He is survived by his son Kent Wayne Crandall, his daughters Kelly C Smurthwaite and Kim C Palmer, his stepson Cameron Aust and stepdaughter Jackie Aust-Giray and 14 grandchildren. Wayne grew up in Gilford, Arizona and moved to Yuba City, California in 1948. He married Jeanine McCorkle, had four children and worked at Rockhold Boat Co. This ended in divorce in 1964. He then married Helen Sampley who had three children.They moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1970 where he taught Industrial Arts at Robert Service High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying his plane and singing in barbershop choir and quartets. In1993 they moved to Minden, Nevada where he built a home and continued singing in barbershop choir and supported Helen’s making and selling boutique bears.
