Anita was born on November 24, 1957 in Downey, CA, daughter of the late Douglas Nickerson and Mary Zook.
Anita had a true passion for learning and was a life-long student, who obtained a Master’s Degree in financial planning. She had a career in the mortgage industry as a reverse mortgage specialist at RMF LLC. She was also an adjunct professor at the College for Financial Planning.
Having been born and raised in California circa 1957, Anita believed that it was a vibrant, creative and special place to grow up in her generation. In her younger years, she was a surfer girl and loved the ocean.
Anita was successful in her business ventures; she was passionate and her creative spirit shined! She was strong, fearless and overcame many obstacles during her lifetime. She encouraged those close to her to be themselves and loved them just as they are. Some of her passions included; hiking, reading, cooking, traveling, studying spirituality and the Christian faith. Her sense of humor and meaningful conversations will live on forever. Life was lived with balance, intention and gratitude.
Anita is survived by her daughter, Danielle (Ben) Dolinky; granddaughters, Samantha and Jillian Dolinky; brother, Michael (Susan) Nickerson; nephew, Derek Nickerson; niece, Kendra Nickerson.
A Celebration of Anita’s life will be conducted with a scattering at sea off of the coast of San Diego, CA on September, 25, 2021.
