Annie Jean Jefferson

Mrs. Jefferson was born August 18, 1935 in Polk County, the daughter of the late Jesse and Maggie (Abernathy) Thacker, was retired from EZ Mills and was a member of the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Jefferson, her daughter, Patricia Ann Woody and her sister, Judy Ginn.

Surviving are her sisters, Edna Hite and her husband, Randolph of Woodstock, Doris Pope of Rome, Mozell Pope of Jasper, brothers, Vernon Thacker and Jerry Thacker of Cartersville, Jessie Thacker and his wife, Gail of Rome, nieces and nephews, Wilma Radford of Powder Springs, Rufus Jefferson of Atlanta, J.L. Jefferson and his wife, Velma of Cedartown.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev Mike Edwards and Rev. Keith Willard officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Terry Hite, Danny Hite, Billy Pope, Ricky Jefferson, Kenneth Pope and Michael Pope.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Ginn, Randolph Hite, Darrell Pope, Rufus Jefferson, Jeffery Ginn and J.L. Jefferson.
