Annita "Nita" Irene Grant

Nita was born on March 30, 1946 in Corpus Christi, TX, daughter of the late Merle Edna Mackey Scott.

Nita retired from Publix in Cartersville, GA after eleven years of dedicated employment. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling in the camper with her loving husband of thirty-one years, Michael Grant and their two precious pups, Rosie and Pearl to NASCAR races in Atlanta, Sweetwater on Allatoona Lake, visiting Maine and various other campgrounds. She also enjoyed going to Vero Beach, FL with her mom and family. Her greatest joy was spending quality time with her family.

Nita is preceded in death by her grandson, James Jackson; brothers, Gallen Nichols and Rodney Dale Nichols; sister, Colleen Tah.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Grant; children, Timothy (Emily) Boodt, Lisa (Kenneth) Weekly, Michael (Rhonda) Wellington and Thomas Michael (Brittany) Grant Schultheis; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Julie) Nichols and ; sisters, Susan (Tim) Cooprider, Penny (Jeff) Martin, Jody (Jose) Ortiz; a host of nieces and nephews; beloved fur babies, Rosie and Pearl.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at a later date.
