

Arley Vest was born on December 24, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Charles Edward "Eddie" and Sophie Rohrbach Vest. He passed away peacefully at home in Cartersville, Georgia on Friday, August 11, 2017.
Arley's lifelong passion was to become a published author and he fulfilled that dream with his first book, Cestus.
Arley devoted 55 years to the Health & Wellness Industry and was a pioneer in the fitness field in the early 1960's. He mentored countless friends with his joyful and helpful spirit - his million dollar smile - with a wink - will be long remembered by those who knew and loved him.
As an entrepreneur, Arley developed many business models culminating in Lazarus Labs - a nutraceutical health and wellness supplement company.
Arley will be remembered as a steadfast warrior, a gentleman and a proud and loving Papa.
He is survived by his loving wife Jill, his daughter Mandi and her husband Josh Marisko and granddaughters, Mallory and Addison.
He is also survived by his former wife, Liz Lirette Vest and their children, Derek Vest and Tara Vest, granddaughters, Sophie, Madison, Bella and great-granddaughter, Della.
Arley is also survived by his sister, Glenda Cowart, and brothers, Bill and Bob Vest and numerous nephews.
Arley is preceded in death by his parents and eldest son, Arlen Vest.
The Legacy Arley left will live forever in the hearts of those he touched.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Owen Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at 3:00 pm in the chapel with Father Joseph Morris officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial donations may be made in honor of Arley to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
