Arlyne Dietz Klinefelter

Klinefelter, Arlyne Dietz, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011. She was born on December 24, 1919 in Catoosa County, GA. She was affectionately known as Mother Ene to family and friends. Proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Pearl Dietz; husband, H.S. Ripple and K.P. Klinefelter; daughters, Charlotte Greeson, Carol Cooper; sisters, Ebbie Lee Dietz and Bobbie Huskey. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters and sons-in-laws, Hazel and Bill Stephenson, Cartersville, GA, Sharon and Buddy Stinnett, Friendsville, TN; stepson, Jay Klinefelter of Schley, VA.; grandchildren, Lynn Turner; Jimmy (Deborah) Stephenson; Johnny (Jan) Stinnett; Robin (Tommy) Taylor; Connie (Randy) Hinton; Sammy Greeson; Michelle (John) Penrod; Angela (Steve) Lunsford; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Turner, Kristi (Darren) LaParr; Austin, Allison, Matthew and Madison Lunsford; Jessica and Collin Stephenson; Brittany Stinnett; Trey and Eli Hinton; Abby Ingram; Samantha Greeson; and Derek Firsdon; great-great granddaughter Venus LaParr; nieces – Bobbie Jo Atchley and Nina Griffin and several great nieces and nephews; and special friend Joe Roth . She retired from Sears in Newport News, VA in 1987. She was a member of Saunders Road Church of the Nazarene in Hampton, VA. She was a member of the Women’s League in Hampton, VA. She was an avid traveler and worked on crafts of all kinds. She spent the last five years sharing time between her daughters’ homes in Cartersville, GA and Friendsville, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home; Cartersville, GA. Graveside funeral will follow at Dietz Cemetery in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jim Malone officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Stephenson, Johnny Stinnett, Sammy Greeson, Bill Stephenson, Buddy Stinnett, and Marvin Thacker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite church fund or charity.
