

She was born on January 9, 1932, to the late Dillard Cox and Kathleen Rampley Cox. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jasper Levi Cagle, and her daughters, Donna Gregory and Lisa Carruth.
Betty is survived by her three daughters, Linda Soulis (Keith), Gerri Crump (Carl), and Lori Davis; grandchildren, Eddy Greene, Jason Greene, Amanda Greene, Denise Underwood, Haley Morris, Sierra Miller, Heather Johnson, and Valerie Toler; 19 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
A lifelong Cartersville native, Betty was devoted to her family and was primarily a homemaker. She loved raising her five daughters and always made sure their needs were met before her own. Betty was an excellent cook and baker who was especially known for her delicious tea cakes. She had a sweet tooth and enjoyed anything chocolate, as well as gummy bears.
Betty loved traveling, especially trips to the beach. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching game shows, and seldom missed an Atlanta Braves baseball game on television. She was an active member of New Beginnings Church and cherished her church family as her own.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Betty's Life to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home. Pastor Barry Garland will officiate with music by K. Ray Looney. Tripp Greene, Noah Greene, Levi Jones, Fred Hensley, Cam’ren Morris and Atticus Miller will serve as pallbearers and Blaytin Greene as honorary pallbearer. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
