Betty Jean grew up in a Southern Baptist home and was a dedicated Christian wife and mother. She loved God, Charlie, her children, her grandchildren, her flowers, her dog Miss Molly, and her family.
She graduated from Waco High School and enjoyed many trips and gatherings throughout the years with her fellow graduates, “The Waco Gang”.
Betty Jean had a green thumb and could grow anything. Loving the feel of dirt in her hands, her gardens flourished with color and beauty.
She also was an avid reader and had an extensive library of fiction and classics alike and she made the world’s best banana pudding and peanut butter cookies!
Betty Jean was loved by everyone who knew her. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word from her heart. Her hand was always outstretched to help anyone in need and she will be sorely missed by all those who have ever known her.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles Glenn Grice, granddaughter Meagan Middleton, brothers Doyl, Roy and Vermont King, sister Dean Heuer; and niece Carolyn Simpson.
She is survived by son, David (Donna) Grice; daughters, Suzanne (Frank) Middleton, and Jan (Eddie) Ingram; grandchildren, Dee Dee Neal, Missy (Dan) Ard, Susan (Tony) Fulmer, Levi (Lisa) Middleton, Kaitlin (Alan) Kurth, Aaron Middleton, and Alex (Jami) Ingram; great grand children, Chloe Neal, Jordan Ard; Katie, Josh (Jasmine) and Paige Fulmer; Oliver and Jonah Middleton; Maddie, Miles and Annabeth Kurth; Alden Kiddy, and Ender Ingram; great-great grandchild, Lorelai Fulmer.
