I only recently learned of Brendan's passing from my sister Susan.  We have known each other since very early years in Boy Scouts and were very close friends after that.
I always will respect Brendan for being the wise man he was and teaching me many things.  He will be missed.

I am so sorry to learn of Brendan's passing, and my heart goes out to you. Brendan and I knew each other virtually all our lives: he first became my friend in Boy Scouts, when I was 11 and he was 12, and he became both a pal and a mentor to me. What a great loss for all who knew him.

You are both in my thoughts with all my compassion and shared sorrow.
