

Calvin was a real estate investor, working with his wife and daughter. He loved his work and looked forward to the next deal. He enjoyed his lunch time with his friends and always felt that he learned something new at each lunch. Calvin was a UGA fan and looked forward to Athens tailgating with his friends. He loved spending time with his family, with the biggest smile on his face when his granddaughter and daughter walked in the room.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Tammy, his daughter Ashton Willingham (Earl) and granddaughter Emalyn. He is also survived by his father Hugh Evans (Donna), siblings Allison Cochran (Steve), Tonya Chatman (Jeff) and Keith Williams (Randi), and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Calvin is preceded in death by his mother Maria Muff Evans.
Calvin was a Christian man who loved God and his family. Calvin leaves behind a legacy of leadership and generosity. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and many people throughout the community.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, from Noon – 2:00, with a celebration of Calvin’s life at 2:00, at Owen Funeral Home, with Jeremy Morton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are Earl Willingham, Steve Cochran, Matthew Cochran, Ricky Matthews, Robert Strickland and Andy Morgan.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Hickory Log Men’s Home or the Good Neighbor Shelter.
