Carl Espy Price

Mr. Price was born on November 28, 1921 in Airton, AL, son of the late Shelly Price and Maggie Price.

Mr. Price proudly served his country in the United States Navy on board the U.S.S. Lexington during World War II. After his service in the military he was hired by the Army Corp of Engineers and retired after thirty years of dedicated employment. He was an avid amateur HAM radio operator. He was a true people person who enjoyed meeting new people and never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Marion Elaine Hildreth Price; son, Carl Lee Price; daughter Linda Nan Westbrook; grandsons, Clint Price and Christopher Westbrook.

Survivors include his son, Jon (Sharon) Price; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 26th of December, 2017 at Sam Jones United Methodist Church with Rev. Nena Jones officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to service time at the church.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Price's honor to Sam Jones United Methodist Church Building Fund.
