Carla was born on May 22, 1962, to Talmadge and Martha (Bailey) Young, in Cartersville, Georgia. Carla enjoyed family vacations to Gatlinburg, TN, watching game shows, and cooking.
Carla is survived by her life partner, Jack Mathews, her daughter, Monica McDonald, her aunt, Ethel (Jerry) Knight, her uncle, Wesley Bailey, and many other cousins.
Carla will be cremated by Owen Funeral Home. Per Carla’s wishes, a memorial service will not be held.
The family will host a private, in-home memorial service at a later time that all her family and friends will be invited to attend.
