Carolyn was the earliest and longest friend that I had. We met in the first grade and celebrated High School graduation by
going to the Glass House Restaurant after the ceremony to buy ourselves a steak. We felt so grown up!
As teenagers we “yaked” (to use her favorite word) on the phone for hours. We enjoyed a number of years of band together and discussed our latest books at length. There was nothing that I worried about telling her. My thoughts and dreams were always safe with her. She could keep a secret better than anyone I have ever known.
As early as I can remember, she loved all of the animals, especially
dogs. Carolyn could not stand a hungry animal. Their pain and suffering was always her own.
Carolyn was always hard working and a great student that craved
education. Those time that she worked late after school at the Dairy Queen then drove her little red scooter home at a very late hour was a testimony to her dedication to higher learning.
The memory of her smile and sound of her voice will always warm
my heart.
I will miss her until my end. Love you, Carolyn❤️

Carolyn was a kind and caring person. She always asked about my sister
who was fighting breast cancer. She will be dearly missed by everyone
who knew her.

Carolyn never failed to mail me a donation each month to provide for vaccines for the animals at Bartow County Animal Control as well as help with the spay/neuter of the feral cats in Bartow County. She was one of my faithful supporters and I am so grateful for her. She has truly left a beautiful mark in my life and the lives of so many animal advocates as well as the animals she has helped along the way.
She was a true animal advocate and supporter. She will truly be missed. She was such a blessing.
