Carrie Elizabeth Hanusiak

Carrie Elizabeth Boyce Hanusiak died unexpectedly on March 16th, 2014 at the age of 43. She was the beloved daughter of Paul and Virginia Boyce, the loving mother of Taylor Pierce, Addison Hanusiak, and Grayson Hanusiak. She is survived by her devoted and loving partner, Caspar Waits and her four sisters, Johanna Calabrese, Alicia Boyce, Lynda Boyce, and Sallee Boyce and her nieces and nephews.

Carrie attended Baker High School in Mobile, AL and Mercer University where she obtained a degree in Social Services. She was a Special Education teacher at Cass High School and was a Support Coordinator for Creative Consulting Services. She loved teaching, riding hunt seat, and most of all her family and friends . Exuberant , joyful, irreverent , and fearless, she is deeply missed and will be forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19th from 6-9pm at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville, Ga.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 20th from 10:00 a.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley Morris and Rev. Adam Burrell, and Dr. Joel Richardson officiating. Internment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Newnan, Georgia at 1pm on Thursday.
