Much love to the whole family. Sorry I won't be at the memorial service. Chic was a dear friend to me on and off the golf course. I' m sure he is in heaven and with his mom and dad. Chic and his whole family were always there for the Selman family while Gabe,Matt, and Jessica were in school with Chad and Andy. Chic and Kay always opened their home to all for church gatherings and fun times. Chic was a blessing to all. We will miss his smiling face. It s comforting to know that Chic is with the Lord. Cathy and I after looking at the pictures of the family and not even knowing Chic he seemed like a fun individual . We are close friends of Dee and Randy and were with him the night of Chics passing . We hope for God,s Blessing for all the family that so loved Chic . Sincerely Brian and Cathy Bourgraf

Chic will be remembered by our family as a man who loved Jesus, showed kindness to others and had a quick and easy smile.  We were saddened to hear of his passing and believe that he is experiencing the fruit of his faith and a reunion with his sweet parents.

Chick and I have been close friends for 50 some years, when he moved to Ames Iowa!  I am so sorry that he has passed away.  Since he moved from Ames  we have stayed in contact all these years. 

Chick was a great friend, always with his smile and positive attitude!  When he lived in Ames we attended many Iowa State athletic events together.  

My wife GeAnna and I were planning on seeing Chick and Kay on our way down to Florida in a few months.

Whether you knew Chic for days or years, it was clear that he loved and cared about everyone he met.  What is more evident was that everyone loved him.  He had a kind or encouraging word for anyone that crossed his path, sharing, that the joy he felt came from his Lord and Savior.  What this world has lost, Heaven has gained.
