
Mr. Tucker was born December 10, 1944 in Floyd County, Georgia son of the late Charles “C.L.” Tucker, Sr. and Laura Bernice Smith Tucker. Charlie was a family man, business man and a Godly man. A talented golfer with 4 hole-in-ones’s to his credit and enjoyed the sport very much with his friends. He was especially devoted to his family and was generous to all he knew. He was a member of Rowland Springs Baptist Church, Green Valley Golf Club and was the manager of Carolina Eastern, Atlanta and was associated with various organizations in the fertilizer field throughout the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents, In-laws, Mr. & Mrs. Ted Chapman; a nephew, Jody Tucker.
Survivors include his wife Sue Chapman Tucker; sons, Charles L. Tucker, III and Jason Chapman Tucker; grandchildren, Charles “Chazz” Tucker IV, Hope Tucker Silvers (Westley), Courtney Lene Tucker; great-grandson, Braylen James Silvers; sister, Judith Lynn Tucker; brother, Samuel J. Tucker (Connie); niece, Jennifer Tucker; sister & brother-in-law, Pam & Danny Turner; nephews, Chip Turner, Andrew Turner (Heather), Adam Turner (Haley); great nephews, Mason Black, Giles Turner, Harris Turner, Jack Chapman Turner.
Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, January 18th at 3:00 P.M. at Rowland Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Ringwalt officiating. Private interment services will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Rowland Springs Baptist Church.
