Cliffie Mae Owens

Cliffie was born on December 22, 1931 in Cartersville, GA, daughter of the late Charlie Lee Tidwell and Mary Parker Tidwell.

Cliffie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her passion was caring for her family and providing childcare for many. She had a daycare in her home for forty plus years. Cliffie was a proud and faithful servant of the Lord and an active member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Cliffie is preceded in death by her loving husband of seventeen years, Harold A. Owens, Sr.; son, Harold A. Owens, Jr.; brother, Jasper Tidwell; sisters, Mamie Worley and Annie Hinton.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Rob) Dozier; grandchildren, Ashlee (Martin) Dewald, Lyndsay Chambers, Chayce Chambers; great-grandchild, Nolan Dewald; brother, Gordon (Joan)Tidwell; sisters, Ella Samson, Frances Tidwell and Reba (Marvin) Cordell; a host of nieces and nephews; her special dog, Buddy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at twelve o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 27th of December, 2017 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Clinton Green and Rev. Donald Collum officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta, GA.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for two hours prior to service time at Owen Funeral Home.
