Clifford Garland Long

Mr. Long was born in Newnan, GA, son of the late Richard Henry Long and Maye Cavender Long.

Mr. Long was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His passion was spending quality time with his granddaughters. He was a world traveler and visited the countries of Australia, China, and Europe, just to name a few.

Mr. Long was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and an active member of both, St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Stone Mountain, GA and Adairsville United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lela Howell Long.

Survivors include Ruth Holtman and his daughters, Roxanne Long of Newnan, GA and Rebecca (Kevin) Barnes of McDonough, GA; granddaughters, Cavender, Zarah Belle and Bryan Barnes;

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 26th of January, 2017 at Adairsville United Methodist Church with Rev. Kelly Brisendine and Rev. Kevin Barnes officiating. He will be interred in his private family cemetery.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be made to Adairsville United Methodist Church.
