Colleen Satterfield

Mrs. Colleen Wade Satterfield, age 69, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away at her home on Sunday, May 22, 2016. Mrs. Satterfield was born on May 10, 1947 in Bartow County. She was the daughter of the late Sam H. Wade and Rosa James Wade and was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Bank of America and also worked for the Clerk of Superior Court until retiring for medical purposes.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Satterfield was preceded in death by her father-and-mother-in-law, the Reverend Orbin and Elma Satterfield; sister, Ruth Perry; brothers, Howell C. Wade and Howard C. Wade (infant twin); brother-and-sister-in-law, Felton and Faye Gentry; and brother-in-law, Wayne Black.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Larry Satterfield; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Kelly Satterfield; grandchildren, Chloe and Carson Satterfield; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Ted Glass; sister, Linda Wood; and sister-in-law, Vivian Hall Wade. She is also survived by brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Dot Black, Billy Satterfield, Betty and Warren Milam, Ann and Wallace Cochran, and Buddy and Jeanette Satterfield; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, May 25 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Robby Chastain officiating. Pallbearers include Darrell Black, Tim Cochran, Tony Milam, Brenton Perry, Nick Satterfield, and Roddy Satterfield. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from five o’clock in the afternoon until nine at Owen Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery fund.
