Debra Corbin Collum

Debra Corbin Collum – Age 71 of Cartersville, GA passed away on January 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bartow County on March 18, 1953, to the late Theodore and Reba Land Corbin. Debra is also preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy Davis, Rose Boesel, and Gary Corbin.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 53 years Robert “Bob” Collum; daughter, Lisa McKay (Jonathan); son, Scott Collum (Courtney); grandchildren, Drew Collum, Corbin McKay, and Porter McKay.

Debra grew up in Emerson, GA and graduated from Cass High School. While working as a paraprofessional with Cartersville Elementary School, she earned her teaching degree from Kennesaw State University. She would then spend the next 19 years as a Kindergarten Teacher at Taylorsville Elementary School. Debra loved her family and enjoyed reading, sitting by the pool, traveling, and the beach. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, beginning at 11am with a Celebration of Debra’s life at 2pm at Owen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
