Donald Edward Sheriff

Mr. Sheriff was born December 9, 1956 in Bartow County, a son of the late Marvin Sheriff.

He was of the Baptist faith and a truck driver for the Ga. Department of Transportation. Mr. Sheriff enjoyed camping and fishing and loved his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Lola Kay Reed Sheriff, his children, Kevin Sheriff and his partner, Barry Love, of Cartersville, Ricky and Shelly Sheriff, of White and Tyra and Eric Casey, of Cartersville, his grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Sheriff, Bradley Sheriff and Phillip Casey, his mother, Evelyn Sheriff, of Cartersville, sisters, Gail Stegall, of Calhoun and Charlene Nichols, of Cartersville, his brother, Danny Sheriff, of Cartersville, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Christopher Sheriff.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. George Gray officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Croft, Jeremy Nichols, Dusty Hannah, Mark Dupree, Mark Rutledge and Brian Silvers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. Monday.
