

Donald H. Wallace, 85, of White, Georgia formerly of Grayson, Kentucky passed away at Northside Hospital Cherokee surrounded by his loved ones.
He was predeceased by his:father, Everett Wallace, mother Dorothy Wallace and his brother Roy A. Wallace.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Goldie (Fannin) Wallace, his children Stacy (Gene) Wagner, Russell (Shawna) Wallace and Kelli (Jeff) White; his grandchildren Rebecca Coleman,
Daniel (Kayla) Coleman, Kyle Coleman, Chad (Emily) Kaiser, Zachary (Ellery) Wallace, Tanner (Sydney) Wallace, Sarah (Blake) Bowlin, Rich (Devon) Wagner and Jessey Wagner. Mr. Wallace is also survived by his great-grandchildren Aleah Coleman, Keaton Coleman, Tristan Coleman, Charli Grace Coleman, Kyla Coleman, Luca Coleman, Kayson Wallace and Wrenlee Wallace along with several nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
Donald was a childhood polio survivor and was one of the first children to be placed in an iron lung. Donald was a hard worker and did not let polio get him down and was thankful to have survived -, he always said “there is no time to feel sorry for yourself because there is always someone who has suffered more than you”.Donald was a longtime member of the Hardy United Methodist Church. Along with his children and grandchildren Donald loved the University of Kentucky basketball, Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves.
As per Donald’s wishes a memorial will be held at Grayson Lake, Grayson Kentucky with family and friends.
