Mrs. Gauntt was born October 24, 1922 in Wedowee, Alabama.
She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gauntt and her son, Keith Gauntt, survivors include her son and daughter in law, Tom and Shirley Gauntt, of Chelsea, Alabama, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters, Ruby Barber, of Sandy Springs, Marie Cosper, of LaGrange, and Janie Lee, of Ludowici, Ga., and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 P.M. Saturday, January 7, 2012, from the Sunset Memory Gardens, with Rev. Keith Willard officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 A.M. till Noon Saturday.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
