Edward James "Jim" Rosselet II

Jim shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sandra Rosselet. They were united in marriage on May 31, 1969, and together built a life centered on family, and lasting love.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Rosselet of Cartersville, Georgia; his daughter, Rachael Rosselet of Cincinnati, Ohio; his son, James Rosselet of Apopka, Florida; and his daughter, Lindsey Leiker and her husband, Joel Leiker, of Woodstock, Georgia.

Edward was also a proud grandfather to Austin Reid and his wife, Mandy Reid; Jackson Reid; Avery Reid; Noah Leiker and his wife, Maddie Leiker; Chase Leiker and Owen Leiker; and great-grandfather to Roslyn Reid and August Reid. His family brought him tremendous joy, and he cherished every opportunity to spend time with them. He is also survived by his dear sister, Linda Willet.

Above all else, Jim was a devoted family man, a proud patriot, and a die-hard Ohio State fan. A proud veteran of the United States Army who served during the Vietnam era, Jim carried a deep sense of service, loyalty, and pride throughout his life. His deep faith in God was central to who he was, and it meant the world to him to raise his children with those same strong spiritual values.

Jim’s greatest joy was his family. He shared a wonderful life with his wife, Sandy, and adored his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his many "furry grandkids." Distance was never an obstacle for Jim; he willingly traveled countless miles to support his family at every milestone, dance recital, baseball or soccer game, and swim meet. Known for his silly side and irresistible mischievousness, Jim always ensured every kid was “attacked”, usually leaving everyone lying on the floor with stomach pains from all the laughter he inflicted on them.

When he wasn't spending time with family or traveling the world with close friends, Jim could usually be found in his workshop or sitting down with a good puzzle. An avid woodworker, Jim had a remarkable talent for turning Sandy’s ideas into beautiful, lasting creations that adorn their home and many others today.

Jim lived life to the fullest, happiest when he was out on the water, casting a fishing line, or throwing a bowling ball down an alley. His warmth, playful spirit, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Jim's life will be held at 9am on August 24, 2026, at Georgia National Cemetery with Army Honors.
