Elizabeth Ann Mathison

Mrs. Mathison was born July 30, 1940 in Bartow County, daughter of the late Matthew Kiser and Mary Gravley.

Mrs. Mathison enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandkids and family. She was an active member of Creek Side Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Charles William Mathison, Sr.; grandsons, Austin Lee Mathison and Zachary Adam Mathison; sisters, Mary Cole, Janice Stoker, Jane Harris; brother, Joe Frank Kiser.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-laws, Freddie and Shanna Mathison of Cartersville and Joey Sr. and Angela Mathison of Rome; sons, Roger Mathison, Charles Mathison, Stanley Mathison and his girlfriend Norma Banks, all of Cartersville; daughter and her boyfriend, Rebecca Mathison and Gary Reavis; special granddaughter and caregiver, Christy Hinckley; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jessica Wilbanks, Joey Mathison, Jr., Randy, Bridget, Brandie, Hayden, Amber and Gracie Mathison; great grandchildren, Aubrey Wilbanks, Braxton Mathison, Carlye Mathison and Benjamin and Braydon Wilbanks; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and MaryAnne Kiser of Cartersville; sisters and brothers in-laws, Martha and George Washington of Dallas, GA and Barbra and George Pruitt of Powder Springs, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Abernathy officiating. Interment will immediately follow from Oak Hill Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Freddie Mathison, Charles William Mathison, Jr., Joey Lee Mathison, Jr., Randy Mathison, Jeffery Willbanks, Jr. and Broc Hinckley.

The family will receive friends 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from Owen Funeral Home.
