

Evelyn Carroll Moore, age 99, of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026. She was born Dorothy Evelyn Carroll on August 18, 1927, in Carnesville, Georgia, to the late Charles Haddon Carroll and Geogia Lavada Brock Carroll.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Moore, in 1988; four brothers; three sisters; and her son-in-law, Danny Armstrong.
She is survived by her daughters, Emily Armstrong and Martha Worthington (Johnny); grandchildren, Stephen Worthington (Misty), Stephanie Colston (Chris), Heather Adams (Tyler), and Brianna Arney (Joe); and five great-grandchildren, Ava Colston, Ansley Colston, Sophie Adams, Lakley Adams, Aidan Arne, and a sixth great-grandchild expected to be born soon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Evelyn was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, shopping, and listening to country music. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening, canning, and freezing fresh produce from the garden. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always looked forward to their visits, especially watching them run and play.
She was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her special caregivers, Jerrie Ann Cochran, Betty Boston, and Melissa Thomas, for the loving care they provided.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Evelyn’s Life to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1810 Euharlee Road SE, Kingston, Georgia 30145. Bro.Tommy Harris and Bro.Ted Towns will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Stephen Worthington, Chris Colston, Tyler Adams, Joe Arney, Terry Cantrell, and Matthew Cantrell will serve as pallbearers.
