Faye Horner

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jamie Carnes; her brothers, Larry James, Jackie James, Robin James, Jody James and Timmy James, and her sister Sue Conners. She was a member of Millers Chapel, an avid baker and cook, and a family woman. She was known as “Gan-Gan” to almost everyone.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Horner of 42 years; her children Howard “Flywheel” Cowart, Len Childers (Tracy), and Sonija Barton; her siblings, Loretta Reynolds, Vickie Mullinax, and Roger James; her grandchildren, Chelsey McClure (Ricky), Ciara Horner, Lindsey Barnette (Logan), Summer Childers, Austin Barton, Jake Barton, and Sara Clayton; and her great-grandchildren, Hunter and Greyson McClure.

Family Lunch will be at 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at Millers Chapel in White, GA with Reverend Josh James officiating. Pallbearers are Ricky McClure, Logan Barnette, Jake Barton, Hunter McClure, Greyson McClure and Dale Horner. A graveside service for immediate family members will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

Due to the rules set by the Georgia National Cemetery, the family suggest donations be made to Millers Chapel Full Gospel Church P.O. Box 327 White, GA 30184 in lieu of flowers.
