Mr. Floyd Clayton Wright

Mr. Wright was born August 31, 1925 in Bartow County, the son of the late, Floyd Columbus Wright and Amanda Allice Mullinax Wright, was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in World War II, was retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Virginia N. Wright of Cartersville, children, Ray and Ronda Wright of Cartersville, Lynne and Darryl Perry of Cartersville, five grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn and Matt Hyde, Kelly Amanda McIntyre, Alison and Derrick Lowery, Diane Elizabeth Reece, Rachel Turner, great grandchildren, Julia, MaeMae and Sophia McIntyre, Ansley , Katie and Caleb Hyde, McKaiden and McKya Reece, Trenton and Virginia Lowery and Clayton Turner.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Harris and Rev. Daryl Perry officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Guy Malone, Lee Perry, Gene Jenkins, Richard Daniel, Don Temples and Gary Temples.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Hudder, Walt Lipscomb, Slick Tatum, Grady Beck and members of the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class of Grace Baptist Church.
