

Mr. Howren was born November 29, 1925 in Bartow County, the son of the late Stiles and Mary Ellen (Nolan) Howren, was a builder and attended Zion Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Jerry Howren and Bobby Howren, sisters, Pearl Craig, Gladys Cox, Aylmer Ruff, brothers, Hubert Howren, Gordon Howren, Woodrow Howren and Claude Howren.
Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Padgett Howren, daughter and son- in- Iaw, Fredda and Tony Rogers, grandchildren, Chris (Jan) Howren, Brandy Howren, Breanna Rogers, Brooke Rogers, five great-grandchildren, sister, Emma Gilmer, sister in law, Patricia Chastain, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Robby Chastain, Rev. David Baker and Rev. Crawford Greeson officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Chris Howren, Branden Howren, Nolan Howren, Gary Howren, Michael Howren and Bob Springer.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of these arrangements.
