

He was born August17, 1946 to the late Newton and Louise Hailey.
Freddy was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nell Aycock Hailey, and their daughter, Angela Hailey.
He is survived by his son, Curt Hailey (Julie); granddaughters, Brittiany Gray (Collin), Breeana Burton (Stephen), Briley Bachus (Parker), and Jessica Ramey; and great-grandchildren, Brooks Burton, Bristol Burton, Jasper Ramey, and D.C. Ramey.
Freddy was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else. Three of his greatest passions were the Georgia Bulldogs, country music, and the Georgia State Patrol, where he faithfully served for 35 years before retiring. He also enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and baseball.
Baseball was Freddy’s first love as a child, and that passion was instilled in his son, Curt, at an early age. He treasured time spent with family and friends and enjoyed staying connected with those he loved throughout his life.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home. Following the service, Freddy will be laid to rest beside his wife, Nell, at Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville, with honors provided by the Georgia State Patrol.
