Glenn was born on January 5, 1933 in Cartersville, GA, son of the late Glenn L. Williamson and Ara Lou Vowel Williamson.
Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Glidden Paint Corp. after thirty-five years of dedicated employment. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and nephews.
Glenn is of the Baptist faith and a proud member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and attended the Worship Ministry Class.
He is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Louis Lusk; brother, Wayne Williamson; niece and nephew, Leslie and Brad Ginn; brother-in-law, Jack Hoban.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Carolyn Mansfield Williamson; daughter, Amy Williamson Sinyard; granddaughters, Kayla and Krista Sinyard; great-granddaughter, Ara Reagan Bohannon; brother, Mac (Vivian) Williamson; sister, Ara Sue Hoban; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 20th of September, 2018 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Brown officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Trey Hoban, Andrew Hoban, John Hoban, Eric Mansfield, Paul Mansfield, Nathan Mansfield, Marc Mansfield and Earl Mansfield.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o'clock in the evening until eight on Wednesday, the 19th of September, 2018 at Owen Funeral Home.
