Gloria Jean Stafford

Gloria Jean “Jeannie” Stafford, age 61 of Cartersville, GA passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026. She was born in Killeen, TX on September 24, 1964, to Jerre Franklin Spruill and Marga Hopfner Spruill.

Jeannie is preceded in death by her father, Jerre Spruill and her brother, Marshall Spruill. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Stephanie) Bridges, Jessica Hammontree, Sabrina (David) Carter; grandchildren, Amy Cook, Jayden Bridges, Logan Hammontree, Savannah Bridges, Tristan Hammontree, Kayden Carter, Kaysen Bridges, Solomon Carter, Lynlee Bridges, Ellie Carter, Inara Milner, and Emerson Bridges. Jeannie is also survived by her mother, Marga Spruill, her sister Sandra Kunze, her niece, Kiesha Kunze, and her nephew Shannon Kunze.

Jeannie was an active member of New Season Church in Hiram, GA. She worked as a Quality lab technician at AHF Products. Jeannie was a crochet extraordinaire, making whatever she set her mind too. She was an amazing mother and an even more amazing Nene to all her grandchildren. Her favorite thing in the world was to wake up in the morning and have everybody join her in bed while she drunk her coffee. She made everybody feel welcomed and loved, her radiating smile and positivity will be forever missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, June 19, 2026, in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with pastor, Donnie Smith Sr., officiating. The family requests attendees to wear bright or pastel colors which were Jeannie's favorites.

The interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens with David Carter, Kayden Carter, Solomon Carter, Thomas Bridges, Jayden Bridges, Kaysen Bridges, Tristan Hammontree and Logan Hammontree serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
